Regulation on Lab opening in First Half of 2022

To strengthen the safety management of the laboratories of the school under epidemic prevention and control, maintain the safety and stability of the campus environment, and ensure normal and orderly teaching and scientific research work, the regulation on the lab opening is as follows:


1. Opening application and epidemic prevention and control of lab

(1). In addition to passing the online and offline examinations of the laboratory safety access system, the staff are in good health and meet the requirements of epidemic prevention and control.

(2). The person in charge of laboratory safety (or the person applying for the opening) must verify the health status of the person who intends to apply to enter the laboratory, including the health code, itinerary code and nucleic acid inspection report, and confirm that the above materials are in line with the epidemic prevention and control. Only after request can you apply to enter the laboratory.

(3). Within the first week, the lab that needs to be opened should meet the opening conditions. the person in charge of laboratory safety should submit the “Application for the Opening of Research Lab in the first half of 2022”. It is reported to the leaders of the school for approval. After approval, the access control authorization will be opened by the central laboratory.


2. Safety self-inspection and instrument maintenance before experiments

(1). Before the laboratory is opened, the lab must be cleaned to ensure that the epidemic prevention and control materials are in place, and the duty schedule of teachers and students and the safety self-inspection of the laboratory must be formulated.

(2). Before each laboratory is used, the person in charge of laboratory safety should organize personnel to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the safety of the laboratory, ensure that the instruments and equipment are in good condition, and keep records of the maintenance and inspection of relevant experimental instruments and equipment.

(3). Based on the characteristics of the laboratory, the person in charge of each laboratory shall conduct safety training for personnel entering the laboratory in terms of safety knowledge and skills, experimental operating procedures, emergency plans, hazard protection measures and emergency treatment methods for accidents, and keep relevant records. and data for reference.

(4). Experimental people should wear masks and measure body temperature when entering the laboratory. In laboratories involving major hazards such as hazardous chemicals, high temperature and high-pressure equipment, and pressure gas cylinders, experimenters should take personal protection.

(5). The laboratory should avoid excessive concentration of personnel, strictly control the density of indoor personnel at the same time, and minimize unnecessary communication and contact between experimenters, and maintain an appropriate distance when discussing the content of the experiment.

(6). For each experimental project, the instructor must conduct safety demonstrations, formulate experimental requirements, and prepare for safety precautions.

(7). When experimental people leave the laboratory, non-disposable personal protective equipment should be stored separately, not mixed with other personal protective equipment, and disinfected before and after use. During epidemic prevention and control, used masks and other epidemic prevention equipment should be treated with disinfectants and disposed of as laboratory solid waste. It is strictly forbidden to discard.

(8). According to the content of the “laboratory duty form of the school”, carefully fill in the experimental situation of the day and make a record.

(9). Teachers take the lead in conducting a weekly safety inspection of the laboratory, self-examination and self-correction, and make rectifications and corrections for existing safety hazards.

(10). Complete the safety rectification notice issued by the university and school laboratory safety inspection team in time.

(11). Other matters not covered should be implemented in strict accordance with the “Laboratory Safety Management Regulations of Jiangsu University”.
