On November 8th, the School of Energy and power engineering carried out the education of school history, conditions and knowing and loving agriculture in classroom 815 of Sanjiang Building. Li Wenqing, executive deputy director of the cares for the next generation working committe of Jiangsu University, was invited to give a lecture. More than 100 people from the school attended the lecture. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Sha Mengmeng, deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee of the school.

Mr. Li started from the 100-year history of Jiangsu University, and talked about the university's struggle to adhere to the original intention of agriculture and build a university that satisfies the people, as well as the remarkable achievements and profound cultural heritage of the accumulation. As a university with the characteristics of "agriculture in industry and agriculture in industry", Mr. Li also shared the development process of agricultural mechanization and intelligence in China, as well as the university's nature of running a university born due to agricultural mechanization, flourishing with agricultural mechanization, and being strong for the "three rural", and encouraged students to establish the feelings of knowing agriculture and loving agriculture. Finally, Mr. Li hoped that everyone would cherish their study time, be determined to work hard, keep in mind the university motto of "erudition, truth-seeking, and enlightenment", inherit the spirit of Jiangsu University of "self-improvement and virtue, hard work and truth-seeking", and strive to grow into a good young man in the new era who has ideals, dares to take responsibility, can endure hardships, and is willing to struggle.

This special lecture not only allowed everyone to have a full understanding of the history of the university, but also had a deeper understanding of the spirit of Jiangsu University, and enhanced the sense of identity, belonging and pride of the university, but also laid a solid ideological foundation for everyone to correct their attitude towards learning and life, establish the feelings of loving the school and honoring the school, and cultivate the feelings of family and country.
