At 2:30 p.m. on May 8, 2022, the school sincerely invited Ms. Huihong Xu, director of the supervision and inspection department of the university’s disciplinary committee, to give the first employment guidance lecture for college students in the second semester of 2021-2022 This lecture adopts a combination of online and offline. Undergraduate students of Class 2021 participated in the event.

Ms. Xu first introduces the theme from the growth story of the protagonist Zhiyong Zhang in the book The Dream of Youth. She guides the students to understand the importance of career planning. Afterwards, Ms. Xu discusses how to recognize career planning from self-knowledge at various aspects, self-assessment, and environment assessment. Then, Mr. Xu clearly presents the logic and process of career planning through the career planning flowchart. She points out the importance of self-discipline and execution ability to achieve goals, so that the students can identify and plan their ideal life and grasp the future. Finally, Ms. Xu conducts a multi-angle and all-round analysis on how to cultivate the quality for an ideal life, and encourages students to cherish time, pay attention to reading, improve their quality, and lay the foundation for life.

The constant interaction between teachers and students and vivid cases in this activity not only answer the students’ doubts about career planning, but also clarifies the direction of future development for the students who are confused.
