On November 15th, in the second lecture hall of the conference center of the school, the school of energy and power engineering carried out the theme education around the theme of "Four Generations of 'Four Spans' Strong Power and Passion Burning to Help the 'Three Rurals' - Dialogue with Professor Li Detao, the winner of the Outstanding Contribution Award for Combustion", Professor Li Detao was invited to discuss with young teachers and students, Li Hong, Vice President of Jiangsu University, Kang Can, Secretary of the Party Committee of the school, Liu Qing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the school, and some young teachers and student representatives attended the meeting. Prof. Kang Can pointed out in the opening speech that this year, General Secretary Xi Jinping explained the connotation of China's unique educator spirit in a letter to the representatives of outstanding teachers in China, Professor Li Detao is a model of teaching and educating people, concentrating on scientific research, and consciously practicing the spirit of educators.
At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Li Detao shared his experience of overcoming difficult conditions, tackling scientific research problems, and devoting himself to improving the unsteady combustion process of diesel engines at low temperatures, helping the development of China's domestic gas turbine industry and the "three rural" undertakings, serving the needs of the country and the people.
