On October 19th, the 20th anniversary of the graduation of the 2000 alumni of the School of Energy and Power Engineering and the donation ceremony of the "Millennium Lecture Hall" was held. More than 70 alumni gathered at their alma mater to recount the friendship between teachers and students, and donated the main project of the renovation of the lecture hall of the School to the Education Development Foundation of Jiangsu University in the form of in-kind donations, worth RMB 350,000. Vice President Ren Xudong, Director of the Alumni Association and External Liaison Office Li Guohao, leaders of the School, and representatives of teachers and students attended the event.

Since its opening in 2004, the lecture hall of the School has been an important place for academic reports, faculty meetings, and student activities, carrying the good memories of generations of teachers and students. Over time, the lecture hall facilities have been unable to meet the needs of development. In order to revitalize the lecture hall, the alumni of the class of 2000 organized and planned on their own, launched the initiative and action of donating the repair of the lecture hall, and took the new lecture hall as a gift for the 20th anniversary of graduation. The whole process lasted 3 months, and all the work such as donation, scheme design, construction, and acceptance was completed, and the renovated lecture hall was named "Millennium Lecture Hall", which not only thanked all the alumni of the 2000 class who entered the school with the millennium, but also commemorated their glorious years with the school.

On behalf of the university, Ren Xudong extended a warm welcome to the 2000 alumni and congratulated the official opening of the "Millennium Lecture Hall". He pointed out that this is the first infrastructure renovation project completed by alumni, teachers and students of the School, which has created a precedent for the crowdfunding construction of the college, composed a hymn to love the school and honored the school in the new era, proved the unity and strength of Jiang University people, and will surely witness the growth of more outstanding Jiang University students. At the event, Ren Xudong and alumni representatives jointly unveiled the "Millennium Lecture Hall", and Li Guohao issued a donation certificate to the alumni representatives.

At the symposium, alumni representatives spoke enthusiastically, hoping to take this homecoming event as an opportunity to further strengthen the connection and cooperation with their alma mater, offer suggestions and suggestions for deepening education reform, improve the level of running schools, and contribute to the development of their alma mater.
