On December 10, the 17th Academic Conference of Jiangsu Engineering Thermophysics Society was held in Zhenjiang. The conference was hosted by Jiangsu Engineering Thermophysics Society and hosted by Jiangsu University.

Researcher Shi Weidong, Chairman of Jiangsu Engineering Thermophysics Society, Professor Li Hong, Vice President of Jiangsu University, Professor Yuan Shouqi, Director of National Research Center for Water Pump and System Engineering, and Professor Shen Jiong, former Vice President of Southeast University, attended the opening ceremony. The meeting was presided over by Professor Lu Ping, vice chairman of Jiangsu Engineering Thermophysics Society. More than 300 directors, teachers and students from universities, research institutes and enterprises in Jiangsu Province attended the meeting.

At the opening ceremony, Li Hong delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the university. Shi Weidong made the annual work report of the society, Professor Xu Chang, vice chairman of the society, made the annual financial report of the society, the conference also read out the decision on the winning projects of the science and technology award of the society, and Professor Zhao Bin, secretary general of the Hunan Engineering Thermophysics Society, delivered a speech on behalf of the brother provincial society.

The conference invited Shi Weidong, Shen Jiong, Professor Zhou Huaichun of China University of Mining and Technology, and Professor He Zhixia of Jiangsu University to give speeches entitled "Design Theory and Key Technology Research and Engineering Application of Solid-liquid Mixed Transfer Pump", "Integrated Optimization and Collaborative Control of Integrated Energy System: From Steady State to Dynamic", "Does Shear Viscosity Play an Important Role in the Flow Field Passing Through the Positive Shock Wave?" The invited conference report of "Research on the Application of Methanol Reforming Hydrogen Fuel Cells and Engines" shows the most cutting-edge research content in the field of engineering thermophysics.

The conference set up 9 sub-venues, conducted 145 academic reports, and selected 30 outstanding paper awards. The participants exchanged the latest research results in the field of engineering thermophysics, and discussed the scientific problems and technological innovations in the field of engineering thermophysics under the goal of "double carbon".

The convening of this conference has effectively promoted the academic exchanges of engineering thermophysics industry in Jiangsu Province, and further expanded the influence of power engineering and engineering thermophysics in the province.
