On June 20, Yao Xueliang, a national model worker and outstanding alumnus, returned to his alma mater to exchange ideas with teachers and students. Ren Xudong, member of the university's Party Committee Standing Committee and vice president, joined Yao Xueliang in unveiling the 'Autonomy Pioneer' Volunteer Service Station.

The 'Autonomy Pioneer' Volunteer Service Station is an important platform for practicing dormitory self-governance. Through the model of 'student self-management guided by the spirit of model workers,' it has established five specialized volunteer service teams to provide students with convenient and efficient services. Yao Xueliang presented flags to the five volunteer teams and encouraged the volunteers to uphold the spirit of dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress, actively participating in volunteer service activities.

At the 'Career Mentor Lecture Series' and the 'The Spirit of Model Workers and Me' sharing session, Sun Houjun, Party secretary of Qiushi College, presented Yao Xueliang with a career mentor appointment certificate. Yao Xueliang delivered a keynote lecture titled 'From Campus to Workplace: My Journey of Growth.' In his lecture, Yao shared his journey from being a Jiang university student to becoming a master craftsman of the nation, as well as his innovative practices in the fields of nuclear power and LNG high-end equipment. Yao emphasized that a persistent and meticulous craftsmanship spirit has been key in continuously pushing his own boundaries throughout his career. During the interactive session, Yao encouraged junior students to deeply engage in their professional fields, be courageous in innovation, and continuously improve their overall abilities.
Yao Xueliang’s sharing allowed students to deeply understand the essence and value of the spirit of model workers. Many expressed their determination to engage in learning and practice with even greater enthusiasm, contributing to the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
