Collaboration with the Power Auxiliary Department Party Branch of the 704th Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Group

On June 29, the First Party Branch of the Faculty of the Energy and Power Department at the School of Energy and Power participated in a collaborative party-building event with the Power Auxiliary Department Party Branch of the 704th Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Group in the School's lecture hall. Through party-building guidance, the collaboration aims to deepen university-industry cooperation, promote technological innovation and talent cultivation, and advance the integration of production, education, and research.

During the event, Kang Can, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Energy and Power, and Ni Ping, Secretary of the Power Auxiliary Department Party Branch of the 704th Research Institute, introduced their respective party-building efforts, research strengths, and experiences in technological innovation.

Wu Licheng, Secretary of the First Party Branch of the Faculty of the Energy and Power Department, and Ni Ping, Secretary of the Power Auxiliary Department Party Branch of the 704th Research Institute, signed a joint construction agreement on site. The two parties will engage in deep cooperation in areas such as party-building joint initiatives, construction of high-tech ship offshore fluid machinery and system innovation workshops, technology achievement incubation, and joint talent training, exploring new models of university-industry collaborative development.

During the exchange session, Zhang Ning, Director of the Fluid Machinery Research Institute at the School of Energy and Power, provided a comprehensive overview of the school's research progress and future directions in the field of fluid machinery, particularly innovations in ship power systems. Deputy Director Zhang Yongchao shared the latest breakthroughs in deep-sea mining equipment R&D. Ding Kejin, the discipline leader at the 704th Research Institute, explained the institute’s latest technological achievements in ship power systems, the current technical bottlenecks in research, and industry demands.

In the discussion session, both sides focused on the theme of deep integration of party-building and business work, reaching significant consensus on topics such as the coordination mechanism between party-building and scientific research, joint tackling of key technologies, innovation in achievement transformation paths, and new talent cultivation models. Regarding cutting-edge fields like ship power system optimization and deep-sea equipment R&D, preliminary agreements were made on forming joint R&D teams and sharing laboratory resources.

Gao Bo, Vice Dean of the School of Energy and Power, and Wang Shuofeng, discipline leader of the 704th Research Institute Group, gave concluding remarks, expressing their commitment to further promote deep integration of production, education, and research, and to achieve more breakthrough results in talent training and technological development.

The 704th Research Institute delegation also visited laboratories related to fluid machinery.
