On April 15, the School of Energy and Power held the 2026 meeting on comprehensively governing the Party with strict discipline and Party conduct and clean government work in the first conference room. Members of the school’s leadership team, Party committee members, section-level cadres, and Party branch secretaries attended. The meeting was chaired by Party Secretary Kang Can.

The meeting included the study of the 'first agenda item.' Kang Can led the study of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the Fifth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection; conveyed the university Party committee’s deployment requirements for the 2026 meeting on comprehensively governing the Party with strict discipline, and coordinated the school’s key tasks for 2026 in Party governance, Party conduct and clean government construction, and ideological work.

During the meeting, Kang Can signed the annual responsibility agreements for strictly governing the Party and implementing the ideological work responsibility system with leadership team members and Party branch secretaries, ensuring the political responsibility for Party governance was strictly implemented at all levels.

All attendees watched the warning education film 'Technology Empowering Anti-Corruption.' Vice Dean Gao Bo led the attendees in in-depth study of typical disciplinary and legal violation cases, carrying out routine warning education to continuously strengthen Party members’ and cadres’ ideological defense against corruption.

In his concluding speech, Kang Can pointed out that the school has always regarded strictly governing the Party as a fundamental political responsibility, firmly shouldering the main responsibility for Party governance and school management. All Party branches and Party members must strengthen political guidance, resolutely implement the decisions of the central Party and the work requirements of the university Party committee, ensuring the school always maintains the correct political direction; they must reinforce the responsibility chain, with leadership team members fulfilling 'dual responsibilities' and branch secretaries guarding the 'front line,' strictly and earnestly promoting work style construction; they must strengthen their responsibility in educating students, integrating strict requirements into the process of moral education, practicing correct performance concepts through real achievements, and fortifying the safety line by regularly carrying out clean government warning education and ideological risk inspections to uphold the bottom line of integrity and ideological work. At present, the whole Party is earnestly carrying out education on establishing and practicing correct performance views. All Party members and cadres must raise their political awareness, remember their mission, and advance all work with strict standards and practical approaches, providing strong political guarantees for the high-quality development of the school and safeguarding the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan.
