To deeply investigate the effectiveness of the operation and management of major national water conservancy projects and the achievements of technological innovation, and to strengthen the integration of party building with business work, on May 23, the Faculty Party Branch of the Energy Storage Department organized 10 party member teachers to visit the Jiangsu Jiangdu Water Conservancy Project Management Office for learning, observation, and exchange activities. The Jiangdu Water Conservancy Hub is the source of the East Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project and is also the largest power drainage project in China and the largest pumping station hub in Asia, known as the "Pearl of Jianghuai." Accompanied by the relevant leaders of the management office, the branch members visited core areas such as the Fourth Pumping Station, the project exhibition hall, and the centralized control center. Through on-site observation and professional explanations, the party member teachers systematically learned about the construction history, project structure, and modern dispatch operation system of the Jiangdu Water Conservancy Hub, with a focus on its advanced experience and achievements in pump unit technology, water automation control, optimized water resource allocation, and efficient utilization.

During the visit, the grandeur of the water conservancy project deeply impressed all the party members, making them more intuitively and profoundly aware of its key role in ensuring regional water safety, promoting socio-economic development, and serving major national strategies. The teachers particularly focused on innovative practices and explorations in energy saving and consumption reduction at large pumping stations, the application of clean energy, and the integrated development of intelligent dispatch systems and energy storage technology.
This activity was a theme party day with both practical and professional value, effectively broadening the teachers' research horizons and further strengthening their sense of responsibility to serve national needs through research. Moving forward, the Faculty Party Branch of the Energy Storage Department will take this activity as an opportunity to deepen school-enterprise-industry-academia-research cooperation, promote mutual integration and advancement of party building with teaching and research, guide teachers to focus on the country's "dual-carbon" goals and energy strategy, and deepen technology innovation and talent cultivation, contributing to the high-quality development of the school and the national energy storage industry.
