To guide student party members in understanding the development trends of the energy industry, taking on the mission of youth responsibility, and helping students root themselves in the energy field and serve the construction of a strong energy nation, on June 11, Kang Can, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Energy and Power Engineering, gave a special party lecture titled "Standing Firm on the New Energy Journey, Courageously Taking on the Youth Mission, and Advancing Steadily on the Road to a Strong Energy Nation" at Millennium Lecture Hall 1417 of the Energy and Power Building. Student party members and active applicants attended the lecture.

The lecture focused on the forefront of the energy industry and the practical aspects of talent training. Secretary Kang analyzed the current global energy landscape reshaping, the implementation of the national energy strategy, and the progressive construction of a strong energy nation, emphasizing that energy youth in the new era bear the mission of ensuring energy security, promoting energy transition, and serving the "dual-carbon" goals. He stated that the integration of industry, academia, and research is a key support for the high-quality development of the energy industry, objectively reviewing the current gaps in industry-education integration, and proposed implementation paths for deepening this integration based on the school’s educational characteristics.

He encouraged the student party members present to actively connect with industry needs, combine theory with practice, continuously hone their professional skills, and align with industry development requirements. He called on all young students to unite in their drive, stay rooted in the energy sector, and contribute to energy technology self-reliance and strength through practical efforts, jointly writing a new chapter in industry-academia-research integrated development in the energy field.
