On June 25, the School of Energy and Power Engineering held a special lecture on strengthening the awareness of the Chinese national community in Lecture Hall 1417 of the Energy and Power Building. Professor Zhang Huiqing from the School of Marxism, a member of Jiangsu University's Party Innovation Theory Promotion Group, was invited to give the lecture. Party members and active applicants from the school attended, and the lecture was hosted by Zhao Jun, Director of the Party Affairs Office of the School of Energy and Power Engineering.

The lecture took the "Law on the Promotion of National Unity and Progress of the People's Republic of China" as a starting point, deeply explaining the significance of strengthening the awareness of the Chinese national community and promoting the construction of the Chinese national community. Professor Zhang focused on five key areas: strengthening the Party's overall leadership on ethnic work, building a shared spiritual home for the Chinese nation, accelerating high-quality development in ethnic regions, expanding all-around practical integration for all ethnic groups, and improving the ability and level of governing ethnic affairs according to law.

With a solid theoretical foundation, first-hand work experience, and vivid practical cases, Professor Zhang gave a comprehensive interpretation of the core tasks and practical requirements of ethnic work in the new era. Her explanations were clear, practical, and accessible.

The lecture was detailed and full of lively examples, effectively deepening teachers' and students' understanding of ethnic work in the new era and helping everyone grasp the rich connotations of the Chinese national community awareness. Attendees further nurtured their love for the country, built consensus for unity, and enhanced their conscious efforts to maintain national unity and inherit China's outstanding cultural heritage.

Going forward, the school will continue to integrate the strengthening of Chinese national community awareness into classroom teaching, Party and youth league building, and daily management, guiding all teachers and students to firmly establish this awareness and contribute to the construction of the Chinese national community, advancing the country through Chinese-style modernization, and the great cause of national rejuvenation.
