On the morning of July 8, Dean Gao Bo led a team to carry out a safety inspection of the college's laboratories and graduate studios. Vice Deans Wang Shuang, Xu Huibin, Ding Hongmei, and lab management staff also participated in the inspection.

The inspection team conducted a thorough on-site check against the university laboratory safety management standards, focusing on key areas such as lab hygiene, hazardous chemical management, fire safety, electrical safety, and equipment operation. They reviewed every aspect to identify weaknesses in safety management. The team recorded each problem discovered and required the relevant labs to fix the issues within a set timeframe to ensure all potential hazards were fully addressed.

The team also visited graduate studios, paying special attention to safety risks related to electrical appliances, wiring, and clutter. Considering the ongoing summer research, staff and students were urged to strictly follow lab safety rules and handle fire and electricity safely.

Gao emphasized that safety is no small matter and that all staff and students must always stay alert. The college will use this inspection as an opportunity to improve a regular, detailed safety management system, clarify responsibilities at every level, and ensure the smooth operation of teaching, research, and talent development.
