Introduction to the expert: Prof. Sumate Chaiprapat is the deputy dean of the school of engineering, Prince of Songkla University, dean of the energy system institute, and director of the research strategy and development center. He is a well-known expert in biomass energy, environmental engineering and agricultural waste resource utilization in Thailand. He specializes in biomass energy utilization, industrial and agricultural waste recycling, etc. Prof. Sumate presided over and completed more than 30 funding projects of the National Research Council of Thailand, obtained 4 national patents in Thailand, and applied his research results to more than 40 enterprises. He has published more than 60 academic papers in internationally renowned journals in energy and environment, such as Energy Conversion and Management, Fuel, Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering, Bioresource Technology, etc., with an H-index of 18. Research expertise: biomass energy utilization, industrial and agricultural waste recycling.
Introduction to the report: In the Sino-Thai forum on renewable energy and carbon neutrality, Prof. Sumate Chaiprapat of Prince of Songkla University, Thailand will give the first lecture for graduate students and undergraduates, introducing his research results in biomass energy utilization and industrial and agricultural waste recycling. Prof. Sumate Chaiprapat's series of lectures mainly involve biomass energy and waste recycling, including energy policy and bioeconomic research, microbial anaerobic utilization technology, high-value utilization of waste organic matter, life cycle assessment and carbon-neutral decarbonization technology, etc.
