On April 24, the Wukesong Forum, hosted by the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the university and hosted by the School of Energy and Power Engineering, was held in 1415 of the school building. Dr. Zhou Lei was invited to give a lecture titled "High-Performance Energy Storage Battery Technology in the Context of Double Carbon". More than 70 undergraduate and graduate students attended the lecture.

Under the guidance of the "double carbon" strategic goal, the proportion of new energy in the entire energy system is rapidly increasing. Energy storage technology will become an important support for energy transformation and the realization of the "double carbon" goal, meeting the strategic needs of national energy development. Among them, the development of clean and high-performance energy storage battery technology has become the forefront and focus of attention. Starting from the double-carbon strategic goal, Dr. Zhou introduced the importance of energy storage technology, the development and transformation of high-performance energy storage batteries, the latest cutting-edge developments, and the prospects of energy storage batteries in China. He also used lithium-sulfur batteries as an example to describe the encounters encountered in the research. The difficulties and innovative solutions comprehensively demonstrate the importance of energy storage technology in achieving double-carbon strategic goals, promoting my country's industrial upgrading and promoting energy transformation.

During the exchange session, the participating students actively interacted. Dr. Zhou answered questions one by one and encouraged the students to solidify their professional foundation, improve their scientific research capabilities, apply scientific research results into practice, and contribute to my country's energy transformation and green development.
