On the afternoon of June 19, 2024, the new energy science and engineering major of the School of Energy and Power Engineering held a seminar on the revision of the training plan and the reform of the teaching mode in the smart classroom. Professor Wang Shuang, Vice Dean of the School, and all teachers of New Energy participated. The Supervision Team of the Academic Affairs Office also participated in the event and provided on-site guidance. The event was presided over by Dr. Liu Lu, deputy director of the Department of New Energy.
At the beginning of the event, Dr. Liu Lu shared the guiding role of the OBE concept in the revision of the training plan and the teaching process, and emphasized how the educational concept oriented to students' learning outcomes can optimize the teaching objectives and teaching content. Dr. Han Xinyue shared her experience in online and offline hybrid teaching, including the problems encountered in the process and their solutions. Dr. Qian Lili introduced the specific implementation methods of case studies and homework, and discussed the existing problems and coping strategies. Dr. He Sirong explained how to cite investment and chips in the case report. Based on years of teaching experience, Vice Dean Wang Shuang pointed out the importance of communicating with students after class, and suggested that teachers should use the recess time to understand students and enhance the interaction between teachers and students. Dr. Li Xiang shared the method of guiding students to learn actively by setting questions. During the activity, Mr. Song Xinnan, as a teaching supervisor, evaluated the activity, first commented on the daily lectures, focused on the teaching characteristics of Vice Dean Wang Shuang and Dr. Han Xinyue, and shared the methods of attracting students in teaching. He suggested that one or two theoretical questions should be addressed in each class, so that the lecture was focused rather than exhaustive. Finally, Mr. Sun, the teaching supervisor, explained the problems that need to be paid attention to in the process of revising the professional training plan, emphasizing that the major should have distinctive characteristics and the backbone should be clear and clear.
