The School Held A Seminar on The Demonstration of Professional Basic Courses
In order to improve the teaching level and teaching quality of professional teachers in the school, and give full play to the exemplary and leading role of outstanding teachers, the School held a seminar on the demonstration open course of professional compulsory courses in the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year in the first conference room on the morning of April 12. The seminar was presided over by Ms. Zhang Ying, the undergraduate teaching secretary of the college, and Dr. Wang Yingze, the teacher of the demonstration open class, shared her teaching experience, and more than 20 young teachers from the college who were in the assistant teaching period participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, Mr. Wang Yingze first shared some of his experiences in classroom teaching and lecture competitions based on his own experience. Mr. Wang Yingze emphasized that as a new teacher, we must pay attention to the importance of the first course and the first class. At the same time, Mr. Wang Yingze talked about the professionalism, engineering and the characteristics of keeping pace with the times that professional courses need to have, and suggested that teachers should combine their own scientific research experience to organically combine professionalism and engineering, and take cases as the starting point to enrich classroom teaching methods. In addition, Mr. Wang Yingze also emphasized the importance of the teaching object, for students of different grades and majors at the undergraduate level, their own knowledge reserves and interests are different, and they should reasonably grasp the teaching scale in combination with the actual situation of the teaching object. In the course of the lecture, it is necessary to be good at communicating and interacting with students, enlivening the classroom atmosphere, especially for new teachers, paying attention to students' listening feelings, and giving positive responses to students' reasonable demands.
In view of the lecture competition, Ms. Wang Yingze first affirmed the role of the lecture competition in improving the teaching ability of new teachers, and also pointed out the difficulties faced by engineering courses in participating in the competition. For young teachers who are interested in participating in the teaching competition, Mr. Wang Yingze gave a lot of practical and effective preparation experience, including carefully organizing the teaching content, carefully polishing the competition courseware, carefully planning the competition process, and strictly controlling the competition time. Finally, Mr. Wang Yingze encouraged young teachers to participate in more competitions and learn more from excellent teachers.
After the sharing, the young teachers asked questions and discussed the confusion and difficulties they encountered during the assistant teaching training period and the early stage of teaching.
The seminar, from the teaching content to the teaching theory, was summarized and analyzed at multiple levels, which played a positive role in promoting the cultivation of young teachers and the improvement of teaching quality, and realized the effect of teaching and helping the old, middle-aged and young teachers.
