On the afternoon of September 17, the appointment ceremony for Mr. He Jun, Executive President of Kaishibi North Asia, and Mr. Zhu Jiongyi, General Manager of Shanghai Kaishibi Pump Co., Ltd., as visiting professors at our university was held in Lecture Hall 1417, Energy and Mechanical Building. Ren Xudong, member of the university Party Committee and Vice President, attended the ceremony and presented the appointment letters and university pins to the two experts.


At the ceremony, Kang Can, Party Secretary of the School of Energy and Power Engineering, extended a warm welcome and thanks to President He Jun and General Manager Zhu Jiongyi for their visit. He noted that appointing visiting professors is an important measure for the university and the school to strengthen the faculty team and expressed hope that the school and the two experts would work together to deepen industry-academia-research collaboration, optimize talent cultivation models, and expand international perspective and cooperation.

After the ceremony, Professor He Jun delivered an academic lecture titled "Trends in Smart Water Utilities in the AI Era." In the lecture, he provided a detailed introduction to Xylem's engineering insights and applications in intelligent operation and predictive maintenance, AI-driven smart water platforms, data integration and comprehensive sensing, and energy-saving and precise control. The lecture was comprehensive, vivid, and engaging, creating a strong academic atmosphere. Attending faculty and students commented that the lecture was information-rich, technically robust, forward-looking, and highly practical.

Following the lecture, the university and the company conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on topics such as joint talent cultivation, R&D project cooperation, and co-construction of laboratories.
