Professor Tilahun from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, Visits Our College

On the morning of March 31, Professor Tilahun from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, visited the School of Energy and Power Engineering for an exchange visit. The college leadership team welcomed the guest. Both parties had in-depth discussions on topics such as scientific research cooperation and faculty-student exchanges, and reached an initial intention for cooperation.

Dean Pan Jianfeng warmly welcomed Professor Tilahun's visit and then gave a detailed introduction to the development history of Jiangsu University, its disciplinary strengths, and achievements in internationalization. He pointed out that the School of Energy and Power Engineering has always aimed to cultivate high-quality talents with an international perspective, actively promoting international educational exchange and cooperation, continuously expanding cooperation with partner institutions in talent training, and deeply participating in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative.

Professor Tilahun introduced the educational characteristics, research strengths, and international cooperation experience of the University of KwaZulu-Natal and shared his personal academic achievements in relevant fields. He mentioned that his university has unique advantages in the energy and environmental fields and looks forward to deep cooperation with the School of Energy and Power Engineering at Jiangsu University to achieve resource sharing and complementary strengths.

During the cooperation discussion session, both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics such as faculty and student exchanges, joint research, and sharing of academic resources, and reached preliminary consensus on the future specific cooperation model. Both parties agreed that by establishing a long-term and stable cooperative relationship, they could effectively enhance academic exchange and development in the fields of energy and power, as well as their influence on the international academic stage.

After the meeting, accompanied by college faculty, Professor Tilahun toured the campus to gain a deeper understanding of the university's teaching facilities, laboratory equipment, and campus culture.
