Introduction
There are currently 9 full-time personnel, including 2 professors, 4 associate professors, 3 lecturers, 1 Elsevier “Chinese Highly Cited Scholar”, 1 High level talent of the “Six Talent Peaks” in Jiangsu Province, and 2 talents of the “ Double Innovation Plan” in Jiangsu Province. 5 person-times serve as international SCI journal Associate Editor/Editorial Board Member.
The Institute mainly focuses on the efficient conversion and clean utilization of energy. It specifically includes the efficient combustion and heat transfer enhancement of thermal equipments such as coal-fired boilers, kilns, gasifiers and steam turbines, the reduction of pollutants and carbon dioxide from combustion, the resource utilization of biomass/solid waste, and the development of efficient enhanced heat transfer technologies. The Institute has undertaken over 40 national, provincial, and enterprise level projects.

The research team has published over 140 high-level SCI journal papers, including Environ. Sci. Technol., AIChE J., Fuel, Chem. Eng. J., etc. Over 40 invention patents have been authorized, and 1 Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education and 1 ACS Energy and Fuels Rising Star Award have been achieved.
Typical Cases of Applications
The developed simultaneous removal technology of multi-pollutants from flue gas using advanced oxidation technology has been applied by enterprises, achieving good environmental benefits.
